Decompression time is always good!
Been a little quiet around here lately due to taking some time to decompress from the summer that was. Great times galore, about a million miles behind us and more in front. Thanks go out to all the folks that took part, threw down, helped out, supported, bought, sold, and just hung out! Gotta grab these moments when you can, and we're especially grateful to have had them with you guys this go-round. Now go clear your calendars and get ready for the next batch!

Ride For Lightning - East Coasters This Weekend!
Tim and the boys are doing it up right this weekend and supporting a good cause by donating a bunch of the raffle dough to Lee Bender. If you're out that way, there's no good reason not to stop in and have a great time! We sent some stuff out, and wish like hell we could be there too.
All the raffle goodies - EC stuff buried in there too!

Iowa was the place to be!
While I was out bouncing around New York roadways with the crew out east, my good friend and cohort, Steve Wright was doing the good deeds out in Iowa at the Dirtbag event that the boys from Lords of Loud were putting on! He and the Heavy boys represented big time. Even gave us a little space on the bench to have EC show some love! Even though the clouds hung heavy on 'em the whole time and tried hard to ruin the fun, they made it through, and it looks like everyone had a blast. Look forward to hitting up whatever those Loud boys throw at us next!

New York State of Mind
Yeah, like I said, we're headed back east. Probably already there as you read this. Stole these pics from the Hopper blog of some of the boys out doing the death-defying NYC ride thing. Can't wait! Also good that there were some Troop pics hiding in there... I mean, who wouldn't want one for fighting traffic in the city?? The home-made shield on this one is definitely a bitchin addition too!

Get Those Orders In!!!
We're getting close to launch time for the EC-heads-East run, so get your orders in now! All orders received before 5pm Saturday, August 21st (tomorrow) will be shipped out by Monday the 23rd. After that, it'll be hit-or-miss as to when things ship out. Hate to be slackers, but the truth is that this trip will put a damper on shipping for at least a week while we do the cross-country thing.
We pride ourselves on quick shipping and customer service, so please forgive us during this hiatus! We'll be back up to full-speed on September 2 for sure, so hang in there! If you're out east and are going to the Gypsy Run and want something in particular, shoot us an email at sales@eternalcombustion.com and we'll bring it for you. Hand-delivery, it doesn't get much better!
Looking forward to seeing all your ugly muggs out east, so get ready!

Back!
Man that was a long-ass trip! Great time had by all and big thanks shoot out to Bulldog, Choppy and the gang that put on the Twine Ball Run! Bill and McGoo from Biltwell, along with Joel, Lori, Dan and I all shot out to the heartland to have some fun and make some new friends. Mission Accomplished! We had everything from epic riding to motorhome hotlaps around the horse track, to crazy sunrise donuts in the infield, and on and on. Pics to follow as we get some time to actually dig through everything and clean out the truck... ha!

Last minute prep and Order Status updates!
Hey guys, we're packing up the last of the stuff for the Twine Ball Run and will be catching up with the Biltwell boys tomorrow to shoot out to Kansas! If you've got your eyes on something in the store, get your orders in by noon tomorrow and we'll get it out to ya ASAP. Orders in after 12pm PST tomorrow will ship out on Tuesday of next week. If you're in the center of America and have nothing better to do than clean your sock drawer or listen to the old lady bitchin' at ya, scoop her up and head out to the biggest ball of twine on the planet and shoot the shit with us and the crew!

We love this shit!
Ok, every now and again, we get riled up enough to do things like use curse words in our headings. This is one of those times. Took off and had an epic trip with a great group of guys going up north to the GV roll-in. Lots of headaches and heartbreaks along the way. 5 bikes limped back out of 12 or so that started the journey, but bonds were made that will last a long time. If the journey is really the reason for living, this one proved it all! Top it off, got back and found that our buddy Kyle had dropped this in our box to show some love!
Kyle's stoked on some product he got, and we're totally stoked... well... that Kyle's stoked!! It's getting together with great people both in person and through long-distance biz that makes all this worth it! Thanks Kyle, looking forward to seeing you in the flesh at the Twine Ball run!

It's that time again!
Long Beach swap time that is. We'll be out there as usual, and we'll make sure to bring some helmets this time! Look for us in spot 305 back by all the other losers!
If you got it in ya, we'll also be out at Santa Fe Importers on Saturday noon sharp for lunch and BS with Choper Dave, Nelson, Blue Collar Chris and the crew. After that, we're scooting over to the Garage Company hot dog fest or whatever they're calling it for some more BS and good times, I'm sure! They're located at 956 W Hyde Park Blvd., in Inglewood, CA. As if that weren't enough, we'll be shooting to Gasser for bike night later on and then finally turning in just before having to wake up for the swap... I'm tired already!
In Good Company!
Paulo from Joe King Speedshop dropped by the booth at Born Free and not only did he pick up a Troop helmet, but had me sign his super show helmet! After seeing who else got elected to be on there, I'm truly humbled and happy to be placed in their company. Check his link to see the run-down. Thanks Paulo, great meeting you and hopefully we'll get to hang later this year if you head out east!

New stuff in the store!
Oh yeah, another new parts update for ya! We just got the new Lo-Pro2 seats in and they rule. Comfort and style for your 04 and up Sporty. Now you can stop drooling over the Lo-Pro original that wouldn't fit your scoot and get your own!
We also got the new FUCK tail light in! This beauty tells it like it is for sure. Not a lot of other explainin' to do here.
The new Whatsel fender is in too. Lightweight PC/ABS ribbed fender for your sporty. Cut those rails down and give your scoot the look you've been craving. Just don't put your girl on it... unless you're looking for a good excuse to be single.
And last, but not least, is the new TT&Co. shirt. Ringer T in blue with dark blue trim and a smart logo to show all your friends. Don't say we didn't warn you when you get attacked by the local "women of ill repute" while wearing this one!

One word... EPIC!
Born Free is in the history books now and it was truly epic. Best place ever to come see good people and more amazing scoots than ever assembled in one place in a very long time. We'd like to thank everyone that showed up and came to say hello. For EC, this was the best show ever! Met a ton of people we only knew from the internet, more that we didn't know at all, and generated more interest in our schtuff than we could handle. Big thanks to those that bought gear from us! It's always appreciated tons.
Biggest cool factor of the show was all the interest in the Troop helmets taking hold and watching people go grab everyone they could to show 'em off. You guys are our best salespeople by far! So much thanks for the great words.
Biggest bummer of the show was the lack of time to get to hang with everyone since we were so busy, and the fact that being locked in the booth means missing most of the bikes! Did get some bitchin' shots before the flood came in though and got to mingle with our buddies a little. Great seeing Walt from Kickstart, George from Spartan Frameworks, Michael from Evil Spirit, the Moon Eyes crew (thanks Shige!), the Bolts Action crew, and everyone else that we got to shoot the shit with a while. All the regulars turned out in force, but it was the non-local set that wowed us the most. People from EVERYWHERE. Finally met the Joe King crew from Brazil, who are stoked on the Troop lids and they actually had me sign their "vacation helmet"! Australia, France, Spain, UK, Germany... crap man, we met the entire planet! Coolest folks from around the world and we're glad to have made all the new friends.
The biggest thanks are in order for both the Born and Free sides of this event. Those boys pulled out all the stops and created a living, breathing, beast of a show! You guys rock.

Oh yeah... catch us here too!
Born Pre! I hear they're givin away a bitchin mini-bike! Pre-show madness at the Avalon in Costa Mesa. Let the good times roll!
Don't you dare miss it!
Born Free that is. It's this Saturday and if you don't make it, just go ahead and bury yourself to get it over with. Tons of good people, great bikes and better times are in store for the entire weekend! Get your butt up and find a way to the area! We'll be out in force as usual and bring all the good stuff with us for sure. Stop by the booth and let us see your ugly mugs!

Good times!
The EC gang headed down to Costa Mesa Thursday night to scope out this whole Hurley Skate Night thing that the Stopniks invited us to. Big Scott and the kids put on a great gig down there for sure! Free Pizzas and soda for all, and a great way to make a bunch of us old farts feel inadequate, by watching all the young dudes tearing it up!
Enough pressure that even this dude got on a board... Hearing Wil scream like a girl was worth the ride by itself!

Big thanks to the Stopniks! Check 'em out if you don't already over at the Cycle Zombie blog

Need a vacation from the weekend!
Weekend was great! Tiring, but great just the same. Hauled the Daune Ballard Traveling Honda Show along with the EC gear out to Ventura Friday. Got settled in and had some great dining to boot. Didn't know what to expect from the Beatnik Blowout, but it was an absolute blast. Great people turned out and the crowd at the booth was steady all day long. Met a ton of great people and ran into some buddies I haven't seen in a while too. Duane's bikes got all sorts of attention and the Pink Taco even took second place in the show! Definitely an event worth checking out the next time it comes around. We'll be there for sure.
After the Blowout, we headed back down to OC and picked up my long-time pal Sean at the airport and took him for some "better than your east coast will ever be" style Mexican food. That man put away the number 15 at El Matador, like it was nothin'. Then I had to stay in the room with him that night... wonderful. The Ballards got to be treated to some late-night Rave Music that had them all sorts of groovy in the a.m. for sure. Before you knew it, it was swap time and we headed out again. Light vendor turnout, and all-in-all, slow day in Long Beach, but that was perfect after the long Saturday. Went with a short list of items I need for the knuckle build and found everything at once when Dice Matt unloaded their parts box. Thanks man! More good times and a mix of new / old friends. As Lisa says, it's more of a monthly family reunion than anything these days.
Finally got packed up and off to our neck of the woods again. Hot-as-balls out in the IE, but we survived to tell the story. Left the Ballards with a tear and drug Sean back to the homefront. Talked shop a while and then raced over the twisties that are the Ortega Hwy back to OC for a late-night bite and to drop Sean off at his hotel. You'll be missed man, it's always a good time when we have you out!!! He'll be workin' in Irvine all week, and I'll be trying to find a way to catch up on some much needed rest.
To everyone we met, thanks for the great weekend! Wouldn't be the same without you folks at our destinations! Later...
