Iowa was the place to be!

While I was out bouncing around New York roadways with the crew out east, my good friend and cohort, Steve Wright was doing the good deeds out in Iowa at the Dirtbag event that the boys from Lords of Loud were putting on! He and the Heavy boys represented big time. Even gave us a little space on the bench to have EC show some love! Even though the clouds hung heavy on 'em the whole time and tried hard to ruin the fun, they made it through, and it looks like everyone had a blast. Look forward to hitting up whatever those Loud boys throw at us next!

And Mr. Bass' amazing knuck

Big thanks to Steve and Jen for holding it down! We love you guys!

Holy surface of the sun Batman!

I like records. Breaking records can be a cool thing sometimes, but not when it's the record high temp in your local area! LA hit 113 today, and out in the sticks where we are, it hit a record 109. F that. The EC van has been running with its tongue out the last couple of days, even when it's just the trip to the local PO for shipping. Ten miles of "c'mon baby, you can do it"! Eyes burn, skin burns, easier to ride with the windows up and just sweat it out if you ask me. Forget working in the shop today. Bikes will have to build themselves if this keeps up!

Back Again!!

Yep, back to the home-front yet again. Got in late last night from the road-trip across the country and am back in full-swing! Orders shipped, and now to deliver bikes to the waiting hands of the boys in OC. Catch you cats at the swap tomorrow too... no rest for the weary!!!

New York State of Mind

Yeah, like I said, we're headed back east. Probably already there as you read this. Stole these pics from the Hopper blog of some of the boys out doing the death-defying NYC ride thing. Can't wait! Also good that there were some Troop pics hiding in there... I mean, who wouldn't want one for fighting traffic in the city?? The home-made shield on this one is definitely a bitchin addition too!

Kudos from BCM Chris!

Haha! Chris over at the Blue Collar Moto site hooked us up with some kind words and linkage the other day. Thanks man, it's nice when hard work pays off! It's been a pleasure to jaunt around this summer with Chris as we've hit up some of the shows and runs around the state. Wish he could've set out east with us too!

He calls me one of the hardest working in the biz, but the truth is that he finds a way to get to damn near everything! I'm always amazed that he has photos from literally every event in SoCal. When I'm buried in work, I live life vicariously through his photo essays!

Check him out if you don't already and tell him Craze sent ya!

Gettin' some love!

We mentioned our buddy Steve yesterday and how he brought fellow rider Josh out to the Old Gold party only to watch him take home the Troop facemask raffle prize. Well, Steve got his mask a while back and sent us these pics of him putting it to the test. We're not sure how he got his license since he looks like he's under the age of... say... 10, but more power to him! Hopefully he wraps some socks around his dome to get a better fit on that lid, but we'll leave that all to his better judgement! Thanks for the pics Steve, and good to see you out there!

Troop 2 gettin ready for some paint...

He must have some high pegs and skinny bars...

And here's the real Steve at the Old Gold show prooving that these things are much better when used!

Great lookin lid and the kid ain't so bad either! Thanks again Steve!

Third time's a Charm!

Thanks to our buddy Dan and the gang at Old Gold Garage for ending the last weekend with a bang! The Ventura Nationals were great and it was good to see all of you out there, but the real icing on the cake was Dan's party for his 3rd annual open house. We got to wind down with all our best buddies and see some new ones too! Quite a few peeps sporting EC gear and that's always appreciated. Two lucky bastards even went home with some new helmet goodies. Our new friend Jimmy was the proud winner of a flat black Troop 1 and Josh took the Troop facemask home! Both were totally stoked, and we were stoked that they were... well... stoked!! It's great that guys that will actually ride the stuff into the ground picked them up rather than some random. We dig random folks for sure, but these parts were made to be ridden! Josh even rode in with another past customer Steve, who was hoping to pick up the face mask for himself! Now they can wrestle for it or somethin. Thanks to all the gang and people who turned out to show support for the Ventura show, Dan's Old Gold, and all the rest of the cool folks who helped put this thing on. All-around great time!

Jimmy showin the happy horns!

And Josh with his his new mask!

The whole shebang!

What do you get when you cross an angry carrot with a rabbit's foot??

You get Hopper Mag of course! Our buddy Carey and few friends now make up the bulk of this lifestyle-centered gem of a digital mag, and they look to tear up your scene any day now! The recent feature on another of our pals Steve along with buddies Ian and Logan features some of our very own EC gear! Thanks for the 15 seconds boys! Now go check 'em out at Hoppermag.com

Back in the Saddle!

The GR4 was a complete success and a total blast! Thanks to Walt and Fritz for putting on a great ride and to all those who showed up for making it even better. No matter how much we get to ride in California, it's tough to beat the roads up in the Catskills. Twisties, straights, forests, mountains, waterfalls, rivers, lakes, crazy old towns, middle-of-nowhere villages with people who seemed like they'd never seen a scoot... you name it, we found it! Here's a few shots to hold you over 'til I get the fog out of my head and collate all the other goodness.

Loaded up and ready to head east...

Yeah, this area of Colorado is really awesome, but after driving through this same spot 5 times this year already, I'm a little less in awe.

I'm only going to post this one pic of the ride between Wyoming and Ohio... it all looks exactly the freakin' same anyway!

Ok, except for the point where I was in Lincoln, Nebraska and a damn tornado was running alongside the highway! That was a little freaky. After running out of that path, I pulled over and tarped up the bikes and grabbed some shuteye.

Good ol' Craig from Front Street Cycle put me up once I hit Ohio. Thanks man, you rule! Had an entire shop to pull the truck and trailer into. Can't beat that. Only cost me a pizza!

And finally reached Jersey sometime after million of miles of road... safe and sound. Just the way I like it.
