Hittin' the highway!

The whole EC crew is off to Phoenix for the weekend to get Star Wars tattoos. Yeah, you heard me. STAR. WARS. I'm thinking of getting a wookie screwin' an ewok. On my left butt cheek even. I'll take pics for all the adoring fans.

In other news...
We'll keep you posted on helmet developments as we get 'em in. I'm hoping for the second week of May, but I'm not holding my breath. The world's shipping industry has been shot to crap in this economy and small dudes like us just have to grind it out when getting things sent stateside. We've got everyone who's signed up so far handled with the first stock order. They're moving fast though, so if you're hoping to get your hands on a Troop helmet, let us know via email and we'll pull 'em back for you as they hit. Don't get left out!

If you order something today or through the weekend, it'll ship Monday after we get back from the desert. Thanks for all the support!

Support your local foreigner!

We've been getting quite a few emails from our fellow earthlings asking whether or not EC will ship to international addresses. The answer is yes. We will ship most of our products around the world. The TT&CO. helmets and parts will be limited to North / South America and Europe/UK, as you can most likely order direct from them and get for either the same or less with shipping. That said, if you just like our smiling mugs and our wonderful singing voices, you can order from us and we'll suck it up and just ship anywhere you want... well... almost anywhere. Uranus is probably out of the question. Just sayin'.

Need a vacation from the weekend!

Weekend was great! Tiring, but great just the same. Hauled the Daune Ballard Traveling Honda Show along with the EC gear out to Ventura Friday. Got settled in and had some great dining to boot. Didn't know what to expect from the Beatnik Blowout, but it was an absolute blast. Great people turned out and the crowd at the booth was steady all day long. Met a ton of great people and ran into some buddies I haven't seen in a while too. Duane's bikes got all sorts of attention and the Pink Taco even took second place in the show! Definitely an event worth checking out the next time it comes around. We'll be there for sure.

After the Blowout, we headed back down to OC and picked up my long-time pal Sean at the airport and took him for some "better than your east coast will ever be" style Mexican food. That man put away the number 15 at El Matador, like it was nothin'. Then I had to stay in the room with him that night... wonderful. The Ballards got to be treated to some late-night Rave Music that had them all sorts of groovy in the a.m. for sure. Before you knew it, it was swap time and we headed out again. Light vendor turnout, and all-in-all, slow day in Long Beach, but that was perfect after the long Saturday. Went with a short list of items I need for the knuckle build and found everything at once when Dice Matt unloaded their parts box. Thanks man! More good times and a mix of new / old friends. As Lisa says, it's more of a monthly family reunion than anything these days.

Finally got packed up and off to our neck of the woods again. Hot-as-balls out in the IE, but we survived to tell the story. Left the Ballards with a tear and drug Sean back to the homefront. Talked shop a while and then raced over the twisties that are the Ortega Hwy back to OC for a late-night bite and to drop Sean off at his hotel. You'll be missed man, it's always a good time when we have you out!!! He'll be workin' in Irvine all week, and I'll be trying to find a way to catch up on some much needed rest.

To everyone we met, thanks for the great weekend! Wouldn't be the same without you folks at our destinations! Later...

This Weekend...

Come see us at these fun-fests! We'll be out in force and cranky as ever.

The new, improved version of "Back to the Beach", where rumor has it they're going to let Duane bring in his beautiful contraband...

And the ever popular Cycle Swap!

They Care??

Well, I guess it's better than getting thrown in the garbage, but our fellow EC patron Matt just informed us that his buckle arrived in less than desirable fashion. Seems the Postal "service" decided to use the package as some sort of burnout pad or skid plate before deciding to take it to its rightful owner. We're glad it got to its destination, and we'll be hooking Matt up with some extra swag for the hassle. Thanks for the update and pics man!

Where's Waldo?

Or rather, where's that damn EC sticker?? This pic comes from the hoedown and is of one of the coolest cars that showed. This all-steel T-bucket with tons of one-off custom work done by the owner gets thousands of miles on it each year! This cat drives coast-to-coast regularly, and only recently added windows to keep the middle-America gully-washers out! Hero for sure, and he's sporting our Winged Motorheart on the ride now too!! Always appreciate the support... roll on and stay safe.

Buckle up!

One of our newest friends rockin' the FO buckle she bought at the Hoedown. Thanks! Remember to shoot us your picks of your latest EC goodies and we'll put 'em up with some witty banter to make you feel like a star.

That ol' Born Loser...

Caught a sighting of the Troop helmets over on the other Mike D's Born Loser site. Mike's always got great vintage and hard-to-find schtuff over on the blog and is one of the Born Free gang. Go check him out if you haven't already and pick up one of his bitchin' shirts while you're at it. Don't be alarmed by the "Parental Guidance" warning on his site... Mike's a connoisseur of fine vintage boobies too!

Hoedown Report

Well, the Hoedown was everything it could be and more! Kutty and the gang did a tremendous job tying up loose ends and dialing everything in to a tee. Most of the vendors arrived around 8am and got set up pretty quickly. Big thanks to Lisa Ballard for keeping everything in line all day! Mike, Lori and I got everything laid out by around 9 and wandered a little to check things out. Lots of good people and friends we don't see often enough. From 10am on, it got to be a madhouse! Tons of folks made their way to the event and everyone brought a good attitude. No hassles all day and tons of great introductions and stories. Even sold out of quite a bit of stuff. We truly appreciate the growing support that all you guys are showing us! I could go on and on, but then I'd just start rambling about all the nakedness, debauchery, and punk rock. I don't want to bore you. If you missed this one, you better just hang up your cool hat and use it as a reminder of what you used to be like before you died. Maybe your grandkids will care.

Here's a couple pics of the EC booth. Keep your eyes tuned to the HippyKiller site and the other various points of interest in blog-land to see more!

Hoedown time is here!!!

Yep, that's right good people of chopperdom, the Hoedown is upon us! If you can't make it out tomorrow for the show, just don't even bother trying to get all coochy-coochy with us ever again. Seriously. I mean it. No joke.

Ok, maybe I'm joking, but if you live in the SoCal area and miss this one, you need your pulse checked! Head on out and stop by the EC booth to pick up your personal copy of this snaztastic poster featuring our very own man-for-all-seasons, Duane Ballard and the killer of hippies himself, Kutty Noteboom! Posters provided by the generous folks at Spectro Oil. Maybe someone can explain to me why they are both protecting their junk too... hmmmm.

Lookin' good!

We asked, and you provided! Jeff sends us this pic of his daughter Aidan in all her Motorheart glory. According to pops, the shirt fends off even the most dangerous of Texas' varmints. Never let it be said that we don't have your safety in mind at every turn!

Thanks Jeff and Aidan!

Show us what ya got!

OK, so we got people out there now with goods and swag and all sorts of crap from EC. Like I've said before, it's you guys that make it all worth doing in the first place. Now, show us what you do with it! Send pics in so we can post 'em up. You can hit me at

Thanks for the pic Darin!

EC gets some love

Big thanks to Slim’s as our sticker found it’s way on  his slamming Street Sweeper. What a sweet ride.

Kari , hope you get better soon, we missed you!

Street Chopper Release Fun

Had a great ride with the crew yesterday. Mike D, DB/LB and I added in Bill from Biltwell, BF Josh, Wompy, and Jammer and had a great time on the short jaunt over to Chino and Roscoe's. That place is actually pretty decent too. Great food (and way too much of it) and great bikes as usual. If you came, glad to see you... If you missed it, you better get your act together before this next weekend and make sure we see you at the Hoedown!

Wompy checkin' out the forks on the '79

This pan had to be the sweetest thing there...

Or maybe it was this flatty...

Or it might have been Slim's van... I can't get enough of this monster!

Thanks go out to Mr. Holt and the SC team for putting on a great shin-dig. We'll definitely see ya at the next one too!

Just want to say Thanks...

To all our customers. Even with the store running a little thin as we get things up and going, we've had some great customers show their love. We know how hard you guys work for the cash, and are grateful that you choose to drop some our way for cool products. We'll always do our best to give you back the kind of quality you deserve!

From all of us, Thanks!

Now bring us a pizza.

And a blow-up sex doll.

...or not to test...

That is definitely not the question. Lisa's been revamping some of the blog and now has us on Tacebook and Fwitter. Or something. Go follow us and I'll be sure to let you know how all my bowel movements turn out and other wonderful goings-on in the world of EC. Duane's got some good boogers lately I hear. I'll have him take a pic.

Click on the links to the right to get your minute-by-minute updates of the EC crew.

Show 'em the love!

You gotta show love when it's due... or so I'm told... by this scary individual.

I know a good threat when I hear one, so I'm making good! The lovely Lisa B. cooked up an amazing Sunday meal for the holiday and made us feel like kings! She knows how to take care of business in more ways than one. She can throw down in the kitchen, get busy on the camera, rule the industry and talk about earthquakes for hours. Literally. So go check her out at The Shiny Side and show some love.

The Two Ton Beast is Here!

Mike, Duane, Larry, and Ethan wrestled the newest member of the EC family into its new home yesterday. This baby will be pounding out the goodness in the days to come for sure! Is it bad that I really want to see what it would do to a person's hand???

I think we're gonna need a bigger boat...

Check out that buckle!

Big thanks go out to Ethan for putting up with Mike for the long haul and to Larry for being... well... Larry.

By the way...

The store is officially OPEN! Yep, we're going to open the doors on the store and start taking orders as of now. Buckles, shirts, hats, tail lights all in stock and ready to go. Stickers too. Shipping is being a little screwy, so if you think something's outta line, drop us an email at and we'll get you sorted that way. Should have belts and wallets next week along with a few other goodies, then helmets and seats by the end of the month if all goes well. Thanks for the support from all of you while we get this going!

Alright, enough of the gay bonding. Go buy some shit! Click HERE or over on the Go-rilla!

Our Sporty Seat as seen in its natural habitat...

We let one of our sample Sporty Seats go the other day. It went to a good home in Texas and now resides with the Texas Family Andersons. Jeff put that bad boy down in a heartbeat and says "it's a slam dunk, homerun!" His words. Promise. Anywho... here's some pics of the seat on his Sporty ready for a burn around town. You know you need one of these. Hit us up and get on the waiting list. They'll be in stock by the end of the month and run $275 plus shipping. Diamond tuck and Ribbed. Let us know what ya think.

Big thanks to Jeff, now go tear into that thing!

Vintage Buckles Back in Stock!!!

You heard right, the buckles are back. After blowing through these like bubblegum at an NA meeting, we've scored another grip. Ten or so  designs choose from. $30 bucks shipped. Because these are limited and random in the quantities we have of each, you need to pick which design you want in the store at and then email us at to let us know. We'll make sure your design is still around and pull it for you before sending you the paypal addy to shoot the dough to. You can use plastic through our paypal quick checkout, so don't worry... Mom's stolen credit card will work just fine!

Check 'em - More on the store site too!
